Le immagini che seguono riguardano la terra in cui vivo. Parafrasando "Il Signore degli anelli" io chiamo questo luogo la "Terra di Mezzo", cioè la terra posta fra due grandi fiumi: la Brenta (come dicevano i Veneziani) e l'Adige. Poi di là dell'Adige andiamo verso la maestosità del Po, mentre al di qua della Brenta finisce la barena, l'estremo lembo sud della laguna di Venezia. È un territorio incredibile ma fotograficamente poco noto, ricco di grandi spazi, argini, alberi, valli e spiagge. In cui si inserisce, a volte in modo violento, ma più spesso in modo discreto la presenza dell'uomo. La mia non è un'indagine sistematica dettata da un approccio descrittivo scientifico, anzi direi che più spesso è suscitata dagli eventi atmosferici e di luce, perché alla fine la protagonista è sempre lei, la luce; capace di trasformare qualsiasi luogo, obbligandoti a tenerne memoria. Non sono luoghi altisonanti o esotici, ma sono luoghi (a saperli vedere) estremamente lirici, fatti di sfumature e silenzi, e come dice il famoso detto: le foto più belle si fanno nel "giardino di casa".

The following images are about the land where I live. Paraphrasing "The Lord of the Rings" I call this place the "Middle Earth", that is the land between two great rivers: the Brenta (as the Venetians said) and the Adige. Then beyond the Adige we go towards the majesty of the Po, while on this side of the Brenta the barena ends, the extreme southern edge of the Venice lagoon. It is an incredible but photographically little known territory, full of large spaces, embankments, trees, valleys and beaches. In which the presence of man is inserted, sometimes in a violent way, but more often in a discreet way. Mine is not a systematic investigation dictated by a scientific descriptive approach, on the contrary I would say that more often it is aroused by atmospheric and light events, because in the end the protagonist is always her, the light; capable of transforming any place, forcing you to remember it. They are not high-sounding or exotic places, but they are extremely lyrical places (if you know how to see them), made of nuances and silences, and as the famous saying goes: the most beautiful photos are taken in the "backyard".
